Our house has been in the family for over 100 years and is currently managed in the 4th generation (the 5th is proudly growing up). We have made it our business, together with our staff, to prepare you an unforgettable stay. With us you sleep in spacious rooms with balcony, SAT-TV, bath/shower, WC and radio alarm clock.
The quiet location and the high altitude climate will allow you to have the best and most restful sleep. Later you strengthen yourself at a sporty rustic breakfast buffet with muesli, cottage cheese, egg dishes according to your wishes, different kinds of sausages, ham, cheese, jam and honey, different juices, milk, coffee, tea etc..
Now you have the best base to enjoy the Eifel in all its beauty.
Here you can especially enjoy the Rursee including a 100 km long hiking network, the national park, the game park, etc. From Schmidt you are in Heimbach, Nideggen or Monschau in a few kilometers. If hiking is too strenuous for you, we also have electric bikes ready for you.
The larger cities of Düren, Aachen and Cologne, with their cultural offerings, are about 20 – 35 km away. When you return to our hotel from an eventful tour, you can relax in the heat cabin, sauna, whirlpool, and recliners.
In the evening our proven kitchen team, around Michael Roeb, is pleased to spoil your palate with Eifel and international, but above all fresh dishes. Afterwards, our restaurant and bar invites you to a cozy end of a beautiful day.
